Minister of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan Syrym Sharipkhanov visited the mudfow check dam on the upper reaches of Ulken River (below the mouth of Ayusay River) in Almaty.
At the construction site of the dam, CEO of Kazselezachita State Institution Kairat Bekenov informed the Minister about the work being completed and the preparation of the facility for commissioning.
The Project is implemented under the careful control of Kazselezachita SI, designer’s and engineering supervision. Height of the dam is more than 40 m, volume of mudflow storage reservoir – 2.3 mil m3. The dam will allow minimizing threat of mud flows and will protect people and facilities located in Bostandyk and Almaty Districts of Almaty.
General contractor of the Project is Integra Construction KZ LLP, which responsible representatives also took part in organization of the Minister’s visit to the facility.
