November 17 in Balkhash, there was official ceremony of opening of construction commencement of the second track of Dostyk – Moyinty section, which is implemented within the National Project “Strong Regions - State Development Drivers”.
The main goal is improvement of the carrying capacity of China-Europe-China railway transit corridor on the territory of Kazakhstan.
In course of construction, 836 kilometers of main tracks and 396 engineering structures, including 14 underpasses and two pedestrian bridges, will be built before 2025.
General contractor of the project - Kazakhstan’s largest company for construction and rehabilitation of railways Integra Construction KZ LLP.
It should be noted, that in the course of the ceremony, there was a teleconference with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov who gave a start to laying the first element of a track panel on the project. Representatives f NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC (Kazakhstan Railways), design organization, general contractor and subcontracting organizations took part in the event.
