InCon KZ continues apace the construction of a mudflow check dam in the head of the river Ulken Almaty down the mouth of the river Ayusay
The project is implemented for engineering protection of people and facilities located down the dam under construction in the mudflow hazard area, within the lifetime extension of the existing mudflow storage reservoir.
“Protected territory of the mudflow check dam – is a part of the national park. Facilities of Almaty hydroelectric power chain, Almaty – Alma-Arassan Health Camp, dwelling houses and leisure areas for residents and visitors of the southern capital are located there. In the summertime there can be over five thousand people at the same time in the mudflow hazard area, that is why this project has a great importance” – the Project Manager Mr. Madi Kobzhanov notes.
From the commencement of works, construction of a left-bank earth fill dam, reinforcement of its framing and concreting of sections, installation of culverts, reconstruction of electric power lines have been carried out. Works are in progress.
