A three–day technological "window" is completed on Kyzylzhar-Zhezkazgan railway section with a length of 162 kilometers. All the planned work was successfully completed in just one and a half days, well ahead of schedule. It is a part of infrastructure modernization and line preparation for further operation.
The launch of the updated line will help to increase freight traffic and reduce travel time for both passenger and freight trains. This project is especially important for development of Kazakhstan's transport infrastructure, as it is part of the Western Europe–Western China Trans-Caspian route.
The technological "window" lasted three days and provided for a temporary restriction of traffic on the site for commissioning work on the new railway line. During this period, the specialists performed a trial run of the system, as well as checking the interaction of switches, signals and rail circuits. As part of the project, four additional connectors were built, an auto-locking system was introduced instead of the previously existing semi-automatic locking, and the domestic “MPC QZ” microprocessor centralization software was commissioned.
During the construction, 280, 323, 366 and 402 sidings were commissioned. The total length of the laid station tracks was 10.6 kilometers, 22 sets of switches were installed. According to Integra specialists, thanks to high-quality preparation for technological "window" and good weather conditions, all stages were completed without difficulty.
By the results of the three–day technological "window", Kyzylzhar-Zhezkazgan section is fully ready for operation.
The project was implemented by specialists of the subcontractor organization Qaz Rail Automatic, as well as the teams of the Southern, Northern Directorates and the Directorate for construction of Dostyk – Moynty second tracks.
