The first 600 meters of the sleeper rail were laid at “Zhetigen” station, marking a new stage in the project implementation.
"The construction of the railway commenced in March this year. Within this time, 80% of the roadbed was installed, 49% of the rail-sleeper grid was sewn. Currently the Southern Directorate is laying the path," says project manager Zhiger Anafiya.
"In general, we will have to build 125 kilometers of new railway. These are 75 km of main and 50 km of station tracks. Bridges and overpasses will also be built. More than 600 people and over 245 pieces of equipment are currently concentrated at the object," he added.
LLP “Integra Construction KZ” is the general contractor of the project, ensuring a high construction rate.
The new road will be an important contribution to the development of the region's transport network.
