The President was informed about the development of a new generation locomotive, the cost of which was reduced by 40% and efficiency increased by 20%. Production of new electric freight locomotives will begin in 2028.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was also presented with products from domestic manufacturers of the railway cluster.
Integra Construction KZ was represented by Mutalip Shakhmurat at the meeting
He reported to the Head of State that in the implementation of major projects for construction of 836 km of second tracks Dostyk – Moyinty, 152 km Darbaza – Maktaaral, 125 km railway bypassing Almaty, the localization of domestic manufacturers ranges from 85% to 100%.
These are the production of rails, sleepers, switches, rail fasteners, bridge construction, energy equipment and railway automation. Today, all these enterprises are 100% provided with work.
The implementation of the project for construction of second tracks on Dostyk-Moynty section is ahead of the design schedule. All the main paths are laid. Maintenance work will begin in the first quarter, and commissioning will be completed by the summer.
Thanks to new infrastructure projects, Kazakhstan increased its competence in designing complex bridge structures. These are 150 bridges up to 480 meters long.
All railway construction projects are implemented by the efforts of Russian designers, engineers and builders.
