The complex, built on behalf of the President, has the institution "Kogamdyk kelisim", the Council of Veterans, the Council of Mothers, the Mediation Council at the Regional Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, as well as representative offices of 11 ethnocultural associations. After visiting the building, the Head of State held a meeting with representatives of the intellectuals and members of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan.
– I came to the sacred land of Turkestan on purpose. The region has a bright future. I would like to thank our veterans who set an example for young people. First of all, we must support the younger generation. We need to work together for the good of the country. All of you are well aware of the current situation. There are various external risks. Representatives of fifty nationalities live here in the Turkestan region. I am grateful to everyone for their friendship and hard work in the name of the development of our state. There have never been any phobias in Kazakhstan and there will never be, because we are a united, tolerant, patient and hardworking people. This is the most important thing. We will continue to build our harmonious society," Kassym–Jomart Tokayev said.
The Head of State noted that Turkestan has become a beautiful and clean city. According to him, this is the merit of the First President of the country, Nursultan Nazarbayev, who gave Turkestan the status of a regional center.
During the meeting, Chairman of the Council of Aksakal ( elders) AbdykulovSozakbai noted the positive changes in Turkestan and thanked the state for taking care of the densely populated region.
